Maurex Limited Director, Mr. Maurice Odhiambo, has reaffirmed the company's commitment to inclusive development and community empowerment as the firm continues the installation of machinery at the Apegei quarry site in Teso South Constituency.
Speaking during a site visit by the area Member of Parliament, Hon. Mary Emaase Otucho, Mr. Odhiambo emphasized that the project is designed not only to boost local construction and infrastructure but also to create meaningful opportunities for the local population.
Residents of Apegei and surrounding areas have also welcomed the development with optimism, expressing hope for improved livelihoods, business growth, and infrastructure development.
The Apegei quarry, once fully operational, is projected to serve as a major supplier of construction materials within Busia County and neighboring regions with ripple effects expected across transportation, retail, and service industries.
